Hello everybody, in this post I go into a little more detail on how to explore this part of the south side of the Delta Quadrant. Starting in front of the Delta Antennae entrance, make your way across the gangway that runs east and west, and onto the gangway that runs north and south. The gangway is flanked by lower areas on both sides. On the north end, right side, there are two storage crates, one bigger than the other. These crates are a great place to store your excess inventory. At the other end, there’s a repulsor lift that brings you back up onto the gangway. On the storage crate end, there’s a vent-style passage to the other side. When you get to the other side, stand up and look above the white light on your left; there’s a battery pack in front of the slowly spinning fan. Continuing around the corner, you enter a long corridor. It has two doors on the right and a hidden door at about the midpoint on your left. Behind the hidden door is a Security 2 Bot; this door opens automatically as you approach. Both doors on the right connect with another corridor running east to west, which goes all the way to the east section of the Delta Quadrant. The best way to navigate this section is to enter the first door on your right and proceed to the Mod-Kit Station, which is at the end of the corridor. While the Mod-Kit is important, there’s also a large box of 50 Teflon rounds and a Power Station behind a hidden wall to the left of the Mod-Kit Station. There’s also a Logic Probe and a small box of 8 Osmium rounds. The Mod-Kit is an upgrade to the Scorpion Rifle; it increases the magazine size to 50 rounds. There’s also an audio log on the low shelf to the right of the Mod-Kit Station. It’s from Bianca Schuler; in it, she’s being pursued by Diego’s minions. She has the Isolinear Chipset, but she decides to take a stand. Gunfire is heard as the audio log ends, so it’s unclear what has happened to Bianca. Alright, now that the Power Station is uncovered, you’re in a much better position to clear the rest of this part of the Delta Quadrant. Backtrack to where you entered the door, turn right, and proceed down the corridor heading east slowly. When the hidden door opens, take out the Security 2 Bot that are inside. Two shots from the Ion Rifle on the over-setting are enough to take it down. Now it’s safe to go up the ladder at the end of the corridor. At the top of the ladder is another audio log; this one’s from Bianca Schuler. In it, she relates her plan to head to the Bridge with the Isolinear Chipset and use it to lower Shodan’s defenses around the central computers. She learns from the schematics that there are three force doors blocking the entrance to the computer room and that they’re on separate circuits. She says she needs a hacker for these doors, so you now know that there are at least three doors to rewire on the Bridge level.
Clearing The East Gangway
Refill your power if needed and head out of this lower part the way you came in. On the main gangway, head east past the elevator and to the door on your right. With the Ion Rifle at the ready, open the door and shoot the Security 2 Bot; now retreat back onto the main gangway and take cover. The Security 2 Bot or an Executive Bot will follow you out, so take them out. If one or the other didn’t come out, go back to the door and shoot them again. The far end of the east gangway is pretty dark, and it’s hard to see the Executive Bot stationed there, so approach slowly and take it out. Around the corner to the right, there’s a flame-throwing Repair Bot. If you need to recharge your power, there’s a corridor that leads to the Power Station in the lower area to the right of the east gangway. There’s a camera on the corner of the east gangway on the upper left and another camera around the corner at the end of the short corridor. From there, the gangway connects to the back of the west section of the Delta Quadrant. It’s hard to see, but there are a couple of Security 2 Bots in the rear of the area. Carefully take them out and then head back to the Power Station to recharge. Now you can enter the west part of the Delta Quadrant through the main door.
Clearing The West Gangway
On the other side of the door, we find a gangway of similar construction with lower areas to the left and right. The gangway extends to the back of the area where it intersects with a gangway that runs the full width of the room and then continues down two sets of stairs to the back of the room. The cross gangway on the right side has a set of stairs going down to the left and to the right the gangway continues in the direction of the entrance. It’s in this area that I ran into a Cyborg Elite Assassin because I didn’t see him lurking in the shadows. I was ill-prepared to start with not having a fully loaded pistol and had to scramble to neutralize him.
Secret Location
When all of the Bots and Assassins were no longer with us, I searched the room clicking the walls here and there looking for secret doors. The only thing I found was a room up in the ceiling close to the entrance on the left or east side of the gangway. To access this room, hop up onto the gangway railing and aiming for the corner, boost your way into the room; don’t stop boosting until you’re there. There are two battery packs on the counter to your right. That’s as far as I went this time; next time I go into Gamma Quadrant to the Medical Bay.
Thanks for reading; I appreciate your time and interest. May God bless you today.
