System Shock Remake Security Extraction and Monitoring

The Extraction area

Hello everybody, welcome

Today I’m going through Extraction, Monitoring, and ending at the entrance to the Cafeteria. The Extraction section is located on the north side of the Central Tower near the west corner; there is a lift that goes up a floor to the entrance. There are three offices in this area, two on the right and one at the end of the corridor. The corridor is patrolled by one Cyborg Elite Assassin, one Cyborg Enforcer, and one Cyborg Mantis that comes out after the combat begins. There are two cameras in the corridor, one you can see from the corner and one to your right at the end of the corridor. In the first office on your right, there’s a live feed from a lift that’s blocked by a force field; the switch on the wall to the right turns the force field off. There are some filing cabinets along the back wall with one health patch and a full health med-kit. When you get to the end of the corridor, you’ll see the other camera and, across from it, the lift that goes up to Monitoring. When you open one of the doors, an enemy or enemies will come out of the other door, so it’s better to open the door at the end of the corridor while standing off to the side so you can see the other door. Once the two Cyborg Elite Drones and Cyborg Enforcer are down, the threat will be over. In the second office on the right, there’s a corpse on the floor that’s carrying an access key card; there are also two cameras and an audio log. The audio log that’s on the desk terminal on your right as you enter the office is from Jill Verrelli, and in it she’s talking about Enhancement Patches and that some subjects have reported hallucinations; this sounds like she is talking about the Berserk Combat Booster. The key card opens a room in the corridor across from the first office; in it, there are three proximity mines and a battery pack. In the office at the end of the hall, there’s a desk at the back with a camera in the corner on the right. On the desk is a Magnum Pulse Rifle with ammo, a health patch, and the V3 Energy Projectile Shield.

Monitoring

There is one Mutated Cyborg patrolling this section; if it’s there when you reach the top of the lift, just duck into the vent on your left. It’s worth going in the vent in any case because there’s a full health med-kit and three stamina patches. I think I mentioned in another post that the Mutated Cyborgs are more susceptible to weapons like the MK III Assault Rifle or the Magnum 2100. If I had used the 2100 pistol, the cyborg would’ve been down with 4 shots, which is better than 6 plus one ion shot. When the cyborg is down, you can explore freely. From the lift corridor, you can see one camera; when you move further in, you’ll see another one on the right, and when you go a little further and turn around, you see one to the left of the lift corridor. The Surveillance office is to the right of the lift corridor; in it, there are live feeds of the Bridge entrance and another room, plus an audio log on the counter in the middle of the room. The audio log is from CY-O14; in it is a notification that the Schuler-unit has been captured, per orders from Diego, and has been taken to a containment cell on the Bridge to be subject to reeducation. The Experimental Office is next on the right; there is one Cyborg Mantis stationed inside on the left, so beware. There’s also a Railgun with ammo on the counter on the left and the Plasma Rifle behind a force field that requires 25% or less security to turn off. Around the corner to the right from there is a dead-end corridor with a switch on the wall that requires 25% or less security to energize, and a battery pack on the floor below it. The lift that’s along the south wall brings you up to the entrance to the Cafeteria, which is where I stopped.

Thanks for reading! Your support means a lot, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to follow this guide. May your adventures be thrilling and filled with victories. God bless, and I look forward to connecting with you in the next post!
