System Shock Remake Bridge Level Computer Room Force Door 2

Power Rerouted

Hello everybody, welcome!

In this post, I rewire the last electrical panel which opens Force Door 2 to the computer room, and I enter the room located directly across from the entrance to Shodan’s Throne Room. Starting with the room across from Shodan’s Throne Room, upon entering, you’ll notice a Mutated Cyborg sitting on the right, so lure him out and deal with him out on the main level. Behind the Mutated Cyborg, there’s a power station and two cameras in the upper left and right corners as you enter. In the center of the room are three elevated platforms surrounded by force fields with switches along the north wall that turn the force fields off. There are also two turrets in the ceiling protecting the switches, so look for those as you move along the left side of the room. There’s a corpse on the first platform, but he doesn’t have anything. On the second platform, there’s a full health med-kit and two healing patches. On the last platform, there’s a corpse with one monetary credit. There are a few different kinds of ammo on the walkway and in the lower area, notably a Rail Gun with ammo located in the northeast corner.

The Room With The Electrical Panel

The room with the electrical panel that unlocks Computer Room Door 2 is located east of the elevator. This room is full of force fields covering openings in the floor. Below is a maze of corridors patrolled by several Security 2 Bots. There’s a switch along the north wall that turns off two of the force fields, one below the switch which is a big access point and a smaller one to the south. The preferred weapon for this area is, hands down, the Rail Gun, but before you jump down and start navigating the maze, take out some of the Bots from above; there are around six in total. There’s ammo spread around the corridors, so when the threat is dealt with, explore every corridor. The electrical panel is located near the southwest corner; this will show up on your map once you enter the room and explore the area above, which you can do safely before engaging the Security Bots below. As I’ve mentioned before, there are a few variations in the puzzles, so either this is the same puzzle or it’s not. It took me a little longer to figure it out, but what helps is if you start at the endpoint and work from both ends. With the Computer Room now open, there are only three more objectives to do before the final boss fight against Shodan and her minions.
