Hello everybody, welcome!
Some time after you get the flashlight from the second floor, go into the courtyard and explore the east wing of the first floor that you access through the open window in the courtyard the door to the hallway to the rest of the east wing of the first floor unlocks. Your map is also updated with a question mark drawn in room 106 and an exclamation mark down the hall around the corner. Room 106 is not open, but the next room is, and inside you’ll find a fancy wardrobe with golden hands for handles. Turning the left one so that it faces down will unlock it. When the doors open slightly, a Golden Apple Handle will fall out onto the floor; it’s not clear what this is, but James puts it in his pocket in case it’s needed later. Moving on down the hallway and around the corner, you’ll find the key to the second-floor hallway on the floor next to the wall. This is the key that the little girl kicked away when James tried to reach through the bars to get it. The room that the little girl ran out of is open; inside you’ll find a sheet of music with the title

At this point, it’s not known what the significance of this piece of music is, but James puts it away. Elsewhere in the apartment, there is a sad looking drawing of rabbits on the back wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, and when James interacts with it, he comments, “Huh… Quite the artist.” There’s also a health drink in the dresser drawer in the bedroom.
Heading out, you’ll run into a Freak on two legs that comes out of room 106. When you’re fighting these things with the melee weapon, only strike it once and then dodge away. Wait until it spews its toxic filth, then run to close the distance, strike once, and dodge away. When the Freak is down for good, enter room 106; inside you’ll find some ammo on the cabinet shelf in the living room and in the kitchen a note on the counter that reads, “Please deliver these to Mrs. Milley from room 102. I’m really worried about her. She’s been cooped up all alone with these belongings for days on end. She won’t even move them, and God forbid anyone else touch anything. It’s breaking my heart just thinking about it.” Looking at your map now you’ll see that the hallway to the west wing of the first floor is accessible as well as room 102, so now is a good time to save your progress with the manual save in the main office and prepare yourself for the unnerving sights and sounds of the second floor.
