Silent Hill 2 Remake Wood side Apartments 4 First Floor and Pool Courtyard

Eddie

Hello everybody, welcome!

The Wood Side Apartments is a three-story building with a main staircase near the entrance and a smaller staircase at the back of the building. The starting point for this post is the smaller staircase on the second floor; from here, you can go up to the third floor or down to the first floor. I don’t think it makes much difference. I went down to the first floor. At the bottom of the staircase, there’s some ammo to the left; the more you can collect now, the better.

The First Floor

On the first floor, go down the hallway to the right. At the end, you’ll see that the door to apartment 116 is open. You can see the kitchen from the doorway, and there’s a light on somewhere. When you go inside, you discover that there’s a body in the fridge blocking the door from closing, and that’s where the light is coming from. To the right, in one of the drawers, is some more ammo. There’s a white circle on the body indicating that there’s more to see. When you take a closer look, it’s a normal body, but little else. While you’re rummaging around in the kitchen, you’ll hear someone talking. Leaving the kitchen will trigger a cutscene where James opens the bathroom door and finds a new character, Eddie. He’s scared and vehemently denies having anything to do with the body in the fridge. Their back-and-forth conversation lasts for a few seconds, and then the cutscene ends. When you regain control, go to the living room where there’s a broken window. The window faces the inner courtyard where the pool is; in the pool is a baby carriage. You’ll also see that there are several Lying Figures milling about.

The Courtyard

Getting to the baby carriage without the Lying Figures noticing will be difficult but not impossible if you’re patient. I decided to take them all out, but in the process, I sustained some damage and had to use a health drink. The coin in the buggy is the Snake Coin, so that leaves one more to find. There are two ways out of this courtyard: a man door that leads to the main staircase, which is close to the office and a manual save, or back through the broken window. I went back through the broken window to the small staircase and back to the second floor, where there’s also a manual save. And since the third floor still had to be explored, the small staircase manual save is the perfect spot to stop, save, and regroup for the challenges that lie ahead.
