Hello everybody, welcome
Continuing from the last post, we’re back in the small staircase at the back of the building on the second floor, about to head up to the third floor. When you get onto the third floor, go straight and continue to the end of the hallway to get some ammo; it’ll be on a chair that’s covered with a sheet. Now go back the way you came and into the hallway on the right. At the end of this hallway is a narrow crack in the wall that you can squeeze through.
The First Room
Squeeze through with your pistol drawn. There are two Manikins in this room. Carefully look around the corner; one will be crouched under the table in the dining room, and the other will be crouched down to the right of the door in the bedroom. There’s a health drink on the dining room table, so if you took any damage, that will make you feel a little better.
The Second Room
The wall between the first and second rooms has a big hole in it, allowing you to walk through. There’s some ammo in one of the kitchen drawers, and while you’re getting that, you’ll hear your radio go off. There’s another big hole in the wall to the right of the kitchen; approach with your pistol drawn. To the right in the hall is another Manikin. Shoot it at least a couple of times or more because it’s difficult in the tight quarters to engage them and not take damage.
The Third Room
The third room is to the right down the hall. There’s a first aid kit on the couch with some ammo and a strange note in the left desk drawer. The note reads: “I know there is something here; I know I can feel it. It all looks normal, but it’s not. It’s underneath, pulsing, trying to get out. Is it trying to get out, or should I get in? I have to uncover it, rip it to the surface.” Now go back the way you came and through the narrow crack in the wall.
The Fourth Room
Squeeze through the crack with your pistol drawn. At first, it looks like there’s nothing there, but hiding up against the kitchen wall is another Manikin. When you shoot the first one, a second one will join in and try to overwhelm you, so instead of trying to fight them in the apartment, it might be better to run past them onto the balcony and shoot them as they approach. In the end, it cost me a couple of health drinks and a syringe; and to top it off, there’s nothing in the apartment.
The Fifth Room
The fifth room shares the balcony with the fourth room. Enter with your pistol drawn and be ready to engage; there’s one Manikin in this apartment. To the right of the kitchen is a step ladder, and the Manikin is hiding in a little indent in the wall behind the ladder. This time I managed to shoot it three times and take it out with the melee weapon. There’s a sinister note on the wall behind where the Manikin was that reads: “I was wrong, wrong, wrong. No! I wasn’t, but I wasn’t entirely right. I need to peel off more. Something more, blood, close.” In the room across from the step ladder is a health drink on another step ladder. In the room across from the kitchen is another door onto the balcony, and to the right, a first aid kit with a syringe. There’s also a hole in the wall at floor level that you can crawl through.
The Sixth Room
The sixth room is the laundry room. There’s ammo on the first washing machine to the left of the door. Along the wall across from the machines is a table with a six-pack of Bloody Apple Canned Juice. There’s also a chute door along the end wall with a white circle, so with the juice in hand, go to the chute. When James interacts with the chute, your inventory will come up. Select the six-pack, and James will put it in the chute. A short cutscene will play, showing the chute in the courtyard being forced open by the six-pack knocking the last coin loose and rolling into the courtyard. There’s a key in the laundry room door allowing you to exit into the hallway just up from the small staircase where the manual save is, so once again a great spot to stop, save, and prepare for the coin puzzle that lies ahead.
