System Shock Remake Beta Quadrant East Antennae And Armory

A View Of Beta Antenna

Hello everybody, this time I go into Beta Quadrant to blow up the antenna and access the Armory. I entered Beta Quadrant from the upper Core entrance because it’s the closest to Beta Antenna and you start with a much better position. The door opens to a small landing with a ladder going down; at the bottom of the ladder, there’s an open doorway, but there’s a wall on the right that you can use for cover. The room on the other side of the doorway is open in the middle with gangways around the outside that go almost all the way around. There are four Maintenance Bots and one Repair Bot patrolling the room. When you get to the bottom of the ladder, stay there and wait for the Maintenance Bots to come to you and take them out as they arrive. The Repair Bot is on the bottom floor so it can be easily taken out from the upper level. When the Bots are dealt with, head out from the ladder area going right, proceed along the gangway until you reach a cutout on the right. There’s a switch on the wall that opens the Armory door, which is on the bottom floor across from the switch, and you’ll also notice a camera from this position. Continue on the gangway going right, which will bring you around to the Armory. Enter the Armory, closing the door behind you to lessen the chances of being surprised. In the Armory, there is a Mod-Kit station and several storage crates. The Mod-Kit station has a mod for the Ion Rifle which, when installed, reduces energy cost. The contents of the storage crates are as follows: Mark III Rifle with 72 rounds, one full health med-kit, two detox patches, 100 Teflon rounds, 3 Frag Grenades, 2 Railgun Projectiles, 20 Mag-Pulse rounds, 2 Proximity Mines, 1 EMP Grenade, 3 Regular Battery Packs, and 1 High Capacity Battery Pack. There is a back entrance to the Armory, but it can only be opened from the corridor outside.

Beta Antenna

The Beta Antenna entrance is 90 degrees from the Armory entrance, so exiting the Armory, go into the center of the room and look to your left; you’ll see the Antenna Entrance on the upper level. The easiest way to get there is to stand in front and boost up to it; it’s more difficult if you try to fly over from the area in front of the ladder. The door opens to a room free of enemies; the only thing guarding the Antenna are 2 Proximity Mines, which are easy enough to take out from a distance. There are two sets of stairs going up to the gangway that leads to the Antenna; you’ll hear the beeping of the mines as you climb. When you get to the top, turn right, go to the end of the gangway, and shoot the mines from there. Besides the Antenna, there are two cameras to destroy. This Antenna room is not a trap, so you can place the Plastique and watch it explode from the gangway outside. After the Antenna, I cleared the rest of the Beta Quadrant; there’s a door above the Armory entrance which leads to a gangway going down ending at a door that goes into Alpha Quadrant. In this corridor, you can expect to face Cyborg Enforcers, Cyborg Mantis, and a Cyborg Warrior. The Cyborg Mantis is at the bottom of the stairs on the right in a hidden room, which opens as you approach. Clearing this little section of Beta Quadrant will make it slightly easier to go into Alpha Quadrant when the time comes, and the loot from the corpses was pretty good. With that, this one comes to an end; coming up next is the Alpha Quadrant and the last two Antennas. Thanks for reading; I appreciate your time and interest. I wish you well, and may God bless you today.
