Hello everybody.
This Cyberspace terminal is located in the Maintenance Office on the Maintenance Level. There are two requirements for entry into the office. First, the security level has to be lowered to below 45%, and second, you’ll need Abe Ghiran’s head for the eye scan.
When you connect to the terminal and enter the tunnel, it’s just a short trip straight to the first room. The first of two waves of cyber defenses will come out to the side of the entrance, so keep going to the other end of the room. You can shoot most of them from a distance. The second wave comes out from both ends of the room. Moving backwards in a big circle is a good strategy; if you can get most of them to follow, it’s less likely that you’ll get overwhelmed. There’s a health pack on the wall to the right of the entrance, so if you’re low on health, take it before you head to the next room.
Second Room.
There will be three mines on the way to the second room. Be ready to shoot the middle one, and you’ll come through without any damage. Once again, there will be two waves of cyber defense. The first wave will come out on the entrance end of the room, so keep going to the back, but don’t stay there too long though. If you are getting overwhelmed, retreat back to the entrance end of the room. The second wave will come out at the back of the room, so as soon as you see them, go back to the entrance. I stayed in the corner too long and took heavy damage. There is a possibility to back up into the entrance in this room, but it’s tricky to stay in the tunnel because it spits you out into the room. There’s a health pack at the back of the room, so again, take it before you move on to the next room.
Third Room
This room extends to the right or left depending on your orientation. I like to have it so the health pack is on top and the room goes to the right. This is the last room that has cyber defenses, so if you make it through this room, you’ve got it made. Now, because I was very low on health, I went straight for the first health pack and then to the back of the room for the other. If you are in good health, there is a spot at the entrance where you can take some cover. Looking at it with the health pack at the top, just inside the entrance, there’s a groove at the bottom of the entrance. You can go down into this groove, move forward a little to trigger the cyber defense, and then move back into the groove. You can stay there the whole time and take them all out as they come to you. I’ve tried this, and I took very little damage. Besides, there are two health packs in the room should you need them.
Fourth Room
This room only has mines in it and a health pack at the back. There’s also a switch at the back of the room that drops the force field to the final room. Carefully make your way to the back, shoot the switch, and follow the green track to the final room. Without entering the final room, you can see the cyber lock behind a pillar. Move to one side or the other and start shooting. When you get the notification that the Maintenance CPU Room is unlocked, you can escape. And that’s all there is to it.
