Hello everybody.
In this video, I enter the Maintenance Office, which holds various secrets and items crucial for your progress in the game. The Maintenance Office is conveniently located on the east side of the level. To find it, head down from the elevator, steer east along the south corridor, and keep an eye out for the door.
To gain entry, there are two critical requirements you must fulfill. First, you’ll need to lower the security level to below 45%. This can be achieved by taking out some of the surveillance cameras scattered around the maintenance areas.
The second requirement is obtaining the severed head of Abe Ghiran. His gruesome trophy can be found on the floor just before the entrance to Delta Maintenance. As you approach, you’ll notice that while the first maintenance door is open, the second one is locked and requires an eye scan for access. Across from the eye scanner, you’ll find a live feed showcasing the interior of the office, allowing you a brief look at what awaits.
Good news for you: there’s only one Cyborg Assassin to contend with inside. As you interact with the scanner, a short cutscene unfolds where the hacker holds Abe’s head up to the scanner, prompting the door to open. Once you’re inside, peek around the corner and swiftly eliminate the Assassin. With the threat neutralized, you can take your time to explore the room and uncover its treasures.
In the top left corner, there’s a security camera watching over the area. Make sure to disable it to keep your movements stealthy. On the desk to your right, you’ll find a Scorpion Rifle, an excellent weapon choice for taking down enemies. To your left, there’s a storage crate that contains some valuable ammo, ensuring you’re well-prepared for upcoming encounters.
Next to the storage crate is a Cyberspace Terminal, which unlocks the CPU room. A distinctive wall under the camera will open when you click on it. Inside, you’ll discover two EMP Grenades, a Gas Grenade, and a Proximity Mine—items that can be tremendously helpful as you navigate through this hostile environment.
The door in the back right corner of the room requires a switch located on the wall beside it to open. Inside this next area, on the shelf to your left, you’ll find a Fragmentation Grenade, another Gas Grenade, and two Proximity Mines. On the desk at the back, there’s the V2 of the Environmental Protection Pack, which offers essential protection against radiation as well as biological contamination, making it invaluable for your continued exploration.
There are also two audio logs present in the office, both originating from Shodan, the menacing AI. The log on the desk at the back features Shodan giving urgent orders, instructing Maintenance Bots to divert to the computer rooms located on levels 1 through 6 immediately. She ominously makes reference to digits of the System Authorization Code. You’ll want to pay close attention to the numbers displayed after you destroy the CPU Nodes; these will come into play later in the game, I think they’ll be used to initiate a core self-destruct.
The second audio log, found on the desk to the left of the entrance, reveals Shodan contemplating a strategy to flood the lower decks with biological contamination—a chilling reminder of her ruthless nature and the challenges you’ll face ahead.
That’s it for this segment of the game. Remember to take your time, gather all the resources you can, and plan your next moves wisely.
Thanks for watching, God Bless, and happy gaming!
