System Shock Remake Systems Engineering Gamma Quadrant Cyberspace

One of the Cyber Locks

Hello everybody. In this post, I discuss navigating this Cyberspace in more detail.

The Route To The Cyberspace Terminal

This Cyberspace is located to the east of the Medical Bay. To get there, go back upstairs and hit the switch on the desk at the entrance until the second doorway on the left is open. At the bottom of the open doorway is the door that leads to the CPU Nodes and the Administration office where the Cyberspace terminal is located. There are two Exec-Bots patrolling the CPU Node room; the best weapon to use on them is the Ion Rifle. One fully charged shot on the over setting will take them down. The next best weapon is the Magnum 2100, which takes three shots to neutralize them. There are also three cameras in the room: one to the right of the entrance and two in the far corners. The Administration Office is across from the entrance; inside is stationed one Cyborg Elite Drone that can be eliminated with a single shot from the Magnum 2100 Pistol. Besides the Cyborg Elite Drone’s corpse, there’s another corpse in front of the terminal. This corpse has an access Key Card. There are also two audio logs: one on the floor and one on the desk terminal on the right. The one on the desk terminal is from Shodan; in it, it talks about attempts to blind it with the digital code. This is referring to the code that is made up of numbers displayed on the CPU screens after they have been destroyed. The other audio log is from Willard Richie; in it, he talks about trying to override Shodan, but they can’t because it’s using the CPU Nodes to scramble things. Destroying the Nodes on levels 1 through 6 will provide the numbers for the system authorization code.

Cyberspace

There are four locks to be destroyed inside of this Cyberspace. The good news is it’s one of the easiest Cyberspace areas to navigate. There is numerous health spread throughout, and beside the ones in Cyberspace, there’s also one at the end of each exit tunnel. The first room you arrive at has a guide of sorts on the wall ahead with four red squares at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. These represent the which tunnel to take for the four Cyber Locks; this will become clearer after you destroy the first one. Also, keep track of how many you destroy so you can use your recall escape after the last one is destroyed. There are only three types of enemies to deal with: Cyber Stingers, Cyber Bullies, and Cyber Guards, but not to worry; there’s plenty of room to fight, and each room has two health items. After you destroy each lock, you’ll have to travel passed it to the back of the room to get to the exit tunnel. More enemies will spawn when you enter the room, so enter the room just far enough to trigger the next wave, and when they spawn, back up into the room you were just in and take them out from a distance. The exit tunnel will bring you back into the first room where the guide on the wall is. Now that you have destroyed one lock, you’ll see one red square is gone. So for the rest of the rooms, just follow the guide; each room is slightly different, but they all have lots of health available. That’s as far as I went on this occasion.

Thanks for ready I appreciate your time and interest. I wish you all the best and may God bless you today.
