Hello everybody.
The horde in the mission Keep Them Safe is part of the Horde Killer story line and takes place in the Iron Butte region north of Pentsemmon Rd just before the entrance to the golf clubhouse where you fought Carlos earlier in the game.
When you get withing a couple of hundred meters the horde health bar will appear so you’ll know it’s one of the bigger hordes. Park your bike somewhere by the yellow tractor and make your way to the military truck, there will be loot and ammo in the box and around the truck. I started with an attractor bomb but threw it at the pile of lumber but it went a little too far. If you throw it closer to the explosive barrel more of the horde will get crushed under the pile of lumber. The process here is to throw your explosive or Molotov and then wait for the horde to start going back, when they’re far enough away you can throw again. You’ll be safe in the back of the truck until the horde health bar gets to a little under a 1/4 and Deacon says “almost done” then you’ll have to move. Your best bet is to get some distance from the horde and try to find a choke point and thin out their numbers. I ran around the area in a clockwise direction, you’ll pass tractor trailers and another pile of lumber with explosive barrel. I used a little more that 2 magazines with my Chicago Chopper to finish the last of the horde, but as usual there’s seems to always be one that gets around you so the very last one I took out with my melee weapon. When the horde is down ride your bike to the golf clubhouse, when you get close to the warehouse a cut scene will start when it’s over the mission will be complete. You’ll earn 250 credits, 450 camp trust points and the Race Against Time, Horde Killer, and I’m Never Giving Up story lines will be updated. With 75% of the Horde Killer story line complete you’ll get the upgraded magazine for the IDF PUP.
After the mission rewards you’ll get a call from Rikki and 3 Militia mission will be unlocked. After that Copeland will call with a job and the Copeland’s Camp Has Been Attacked mission will be unlocked.
